Being a Sylva, North Carolina native growing up in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Matthew is proud to serve the community where he was born and raised. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Western Carolina University, giving him a strong foundation to help clients align their home financing with their overall financial goals.

Outside the mortgage world, Matthew is a passionate real estate investor and co-owner of Highland Hills Farm LLC, a unique agritourism destination that he and his wife operate in Western North Carolina. When he is not assisting clients or exploring his next investment opportunity, he can often be found working on a renovation project or lending a hand at the farm. At home, he shares life with seven dogs with only one that he claims which is Peeka, his sweet Rottweiler and constant companion.
